Paul Faude, the founder and owner of Faude Medaillen AG, started more than 30 years ago in this farmhouse to produce medals and awards of all kinds.
His relief etching process is known beyond the borders of Gippingen (AG).
... in the place of the farmhouse, the current production premises were built.
In 1868 the Huguenin brothers opened up a small workshop at Le Locle. Over the years the company developed and specialised in the manufacturing of medals until its centenary in 1968 when it changed its corporate name to: Huguenin Medailleurs S.A.
In 1999 a first merger took place with Kramer headquartered in Neuchätel. In 2002 Huguenin + Kramer joined with Faude, giving birth to the current company Faude & Huguenin SA.
